We provide a platform to define research that no one institution or company can do but that takes a broad ecosystem of partners to achieve.

Building on its existing expertise and capabilities in the construction industry and related sectors, LAAS links home-grown innovators with other leading figures in related and unrelated fields to join minds and hands in this novel innovation laboratory. Investors, developers, operators and occupiers work together with scientists to understand the potential impact of trends and leverage the benefits for their undertakings.

We create a global network of innovators with hubs in Europe, Asia and North America, which will enable us to benefit from regional viewpoints and expertise.
Initiated by Nexplore of Hochtief, we closely collaborate with IBM and other leading companies and institutions.

In 2019, LAAS has been initiated by NEXPLORE acting as the collaborative network and research platform to invent tomorrow’s cities, villages and landscapes by holistically connecting digital services to human values.

NEXPLORE is a software innovation company in the construction industry backed by HOCHTIEF. NEXPLORE builds custom-made solutions based on next generation technologies across disciplines and geographies.
